William "Pete" Peterson began selling young plants from his backyard greenhouse and found a love for taking care of customers.  What began in 1965 as Peterson Brothers Wholesale Nursery was built with hard work and South Texas sweat.   Peterson Wholesale Nursery formed a tight relationship with the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension and was a pivotal part of promoting many of Texas Superstars ®.  In addition to being an astute businessman, Pete was passionate about his customers.

The next generation took over when Pete retired and his children, Rodney and Linda continued the tradition with long-time employee Paul Kosub.  Together they took the reigns of the San Antonio facility, now comprising over 250,000sf of greenhouse on 12.5 acres.  They worked to bring in new customers, Providing local retail nurseries and landscapers with high quality plants at affordable prices.

In 2022 the trio decided it was time to pass the business along once again.  Two local businessmen, began working with Linda, Rodney and Paul on a plan to transition ownership and continue the legacy they had so diligently protected.  Building on their success, Peterson Nursery is ready for the next 50 years!
